Tampa Fishing Charters Report:

I had the pleasure of fishing with Kendall Albritton from Women of Water this week along with her friends Liz and Amy.  Women of Water is a very cool clothing line for women.  I recently got a shirt and hat for my cousin who absolutely loves them.  Okay, back to fishing.  As usual got to the boat ramp at 6:00am and went to a local flat to load up the bait well with greenbacks.  Then straight to the snook hole where we instantly starting catching fish around the 20-25″ range.  Did not get any keeper snook on this day, but did manage to get a 26″ redfish in the same spot.

After a few hours of snook fishing, we decided to go look for some of the bigger redfish that have been hanging around the Tampa Bay area recently.  Unfortunately, the tide did not come in fast enough on that day and we did not find them.  We did see a couple of singles and doubles easing around the flat, but no big school. So we decided to go back to snook fishing.  Ended up having a great day and caught a lot of fish.

Later in week, I was able to get out again and found good numbers of trout on the deeper flats.  Also took the day off yesterday and went to the gulf beaches for some early summer snook fishing.  The big girls have shown up, but were a little finicky.  We did end up catching fish up to 32″ with a few smaller ones and three beautiful trout ranging from 18-23″.  The water of the gulf beaches right now is absolutely beautiful.
